Welcoming and working with the delegation of National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU)

On April 10, 2025, the College of Economics, Technology, and Fisheries successfully hosted a reception and working session with a delegation from the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU). The event aimed at strengthening international cooperation, fostering scientific research, and advancing educational collaboration between the two institutions.

Attending the reception and working session were the Board of Directors of the College of Economics, Technology, and Fisheries, leaders from the Department of Science and International Cooperation, and heads of various functional departments, including the Department of Administration, Faculty of Aquaculture, Processing Department, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Faculty of Economics, Center for Research, Consultancy and Freshwater Fisheries Services, and Faculty of Information Technology.

The delegation from the National Taiwan Ocean University was led by Dr. Ming-Wei Lu, Dean of Academic Affairs, and included Prof. Dr. Chia-Hui Wang from the Department of Environmental Biology and Fisheries Science; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shih-Chao Lin from the Bachelor Degree Program in Marine Biotechnology; Mr. Her-Juan Shieh, Executive Officer of the Office of Academic Affairs; Mr. Hung-Yi Chen, Project Assistant at the Office of Academic Affairs. Additionally, the delegation included two specialists from the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam: Ms. Trần Phương Uyên and Mr. Phan Lâm Trường.

During the session, both parties openly discussed and agreed upon key cooperation areas for the near future, including faculty and student exchange, joint scientific research, international conferences organization, and the transfer of new technologies. Notably, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), opening new opportunities for educational development, scientific research, and advanced technological applications. Speaking at the event, leaders from both institutions emphasized the importance and significance of enhancing international cooperation, expressing expectations that this collaboration will yield practical benefits and long-term effectiveness for both sides.

The reception and working session took place in a solemn, friendly, and successful atmosphere, laying a solid foundation for a lasting cooperative relationship between the College of Economics, Technology, and Fisheries and the National Taiwan Ocean University.
