Pursuant to the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries (Socialist Republic of Vietnam) and Sompanya High School (Lao PDR) on coordinating the implementation of student exchange programs.
On November 11, 2025, the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries held a welcoming ceremony to meet new students and parents from the Lao People's Democratic Republic who came to the school to enroll.
Attending the ceremony, on the school side, there were the presence of the Board of Directors; Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Youth Union and heads and deputy heads of the school units. On the Lao side, there was Dr. Outhay Banavong (Vice Principal of Sompanya High School - Head of the delegation) along with parents and 09 Lao students who registered to study the high school cultural program, while studying vocational training (9+ system) at the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries
At the ceremony, Dr. Bui Thi Hanh - Principal of the school reported on the study program, living and accommodation conditions, as well as the support policy for international students when studying at the school... The fact that the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Lao PDR allows students to study at the school has affirmed the increasingly improved training position of the school, has tightened the solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation in the fields of economics, education, training... between the two countries Vietnam - Laos. Dr. Outhay Banavong - Head of the delegation (representing the Lao PDR) acknowledged and highly appreciated the initiative and thoughtfulness of the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries in taking care of the lives, creating the best material and spiritual conditions for international students when studying, helping Lao parents feel secure when sending their children to study at the school. Contributing practically to consolidating, preserving and developing the solidarity between the two peoples and the development of the two countries.
