IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAINING CLASS "TECHNICAL FOR FARMING PRODUCTS OF clams" in VAN DON - QUANG NINH

In two days, October 28 - 29, 2020, the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries held a training course on "Technology of commercial clam culture" at Cai Rong Town, Van Don District, Quang Ninh Province. 

The training course is an activity under the project "Improving the technological process of seed production and commercial clam culture" at the ministerial level, chaired by the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries under Contract No. 14/2019. /KHCN-TS dated January 5, 2019 between the Department of Science and Technology and the College of Economics, Technical and Fisheries. The project implementation period is from January 2019 to June 2021.

Attending the class were representatives of management agencies: Mr. Ha Van Ninh - Vice Chairman of Van Don District Farmers' Association, Mr. Nguyen Van Tai - Director of Anh Quan Thang Loi Co., Ltd., Mr. Hoang Van Manh - Vice Chairman of the Association. Dong Chen cooperative and 30 trainees are typical clam farming households in Quang Ninh province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ha Van Ninh - Vice Chairman of Van Don District Farmers' Association emphasized that the training course on commercial clam culture is an opportunity for the trainees to have the opportunity to learn and exchange difficulties and problems. sharing experiences and good solutions in raising high quality commercial clams.

The training course took place with two main contents: (1) The process of rearing grade I to grade II clams in cages at sea, (2) The process of raising commercial clams in cages placed at intertidal flats is presented. by Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Project Manager and received positive feedbacks from students.

 The trainees had a chance to visit the real clam hatchery production model of the College of Economics, Technology and Fisheries - Van Canh Island, Thang Loi, Van Don, Quang Ninh and the commercial clam culture model of Hop. Dong Chen cooperative, Ban Sen commune, Van Don, Quang Ninh.

Through the training course, it contributes to the promotion and transfer of science and technology to the people, in order to promote the sustainable development of production and commercial farming of clams with high efficiency in the future.
